Royal Australian Air Force Avro Lancaster 1/72 Revell

"Q for Queenie VI", Avro Lancaster A66-1 (RAF reg. ED930) around 1946, built from the excellent Revell kit. This project took, umm, about 2 years from the initial research to the taking of these pictures. Perhaps worth the wait, great fun it was anyway.
Oh, about those spinners. I still think it's possible they were light blue or grey, but looking carefully at the Hopton photo there are chrome-style reflections from the ground and sky so I chose pure aluminium in the end. If actual colours are confirmed some day , it's easy to paint those spinners again.

"Q for Queenie" reference update

"Silver Lancaster" project questions top 3:

1. Mark I or Mark III?
AV ROE says it's a III, ADF Serials says it's a I. I'd go with the manufacturer's data so Mark III.

2. Top turret or no top turret?
Yes and no, at first without but later fitted with one.
Without a turret: ADF-Serials Image Gallery
With a turret: Hopton gallery
Ok, it's just barely visible behind the wing but here's a confirmation:
Q for Queenie, ED930

3. Spinner colour, silver or something else?
It might be silver, but it could also be the same light blue as in the SEAC roundels. Look at the Hopton and AV ROE pictures, the spinners are suspiciously similar shade as the roundel insides. This guy has gone silver (with blue and white roundels) in 1/48 scale: "The Australian Queenie" but I think I'll use the light blue. Even if I knew the original photo film brand and possible filters, it's almost impossible to say for sure.

So, what's wrong with this profile?

A: belly radar, fuselage windows, serial and fuselage roundel placement. Possibly spinner colour also. Besides, during the bond purchasing tour the Queenie was still in camouflage.

US Navy F-14A Tomcat 1/48 Academy / Eagle Strike Decals

The Academy kit with Eagle Strike #EP48279 aftermarket decals. The red of the decals is a bit on the dark side I'm afraid, but does the job. Likewise the kit is okay but not excellent, fitting the nose/cockpit section to the rest of the fuselage was a major headache for instance.  Airbrushed Xtracolor enamels, semi-gloss floor wax.
