RAF SEAC Mohawk 1/72 Revell
A leftover kit from the Finnish Air Force Morane project has leftover decals recycled from 3 different Revell kits: a Hurricane, a Wellington and a Spitfire (I think). Paints for the SEAC camouflage are: Humbrol matt 29 for Dark Earth, Revell matt 68 for Dark Green (closest match to a Humbrol 116 tin which was dried up) and homebrew Revell 76 and 50 mix for Medium Sea Grey undersides.
The final results are quite nice for an informal "let's see what we have available in the stash" -style model. However if you are using this as a reference, please note: 1) camouflage is for the Mohawk IV while the kit is (possibly) a Mohawk III 2) the serial # is unfortunately fictional, couldn't find the correct BS734 combination decals in single font so this became a BN888. But then again, before that knowledge this model didn't look too bad, didn't it?

USAF F-100D Super Sabre 1/72 Italeri
Another Italeri winner, except that there are quite a few small errors which were found at a too late building stage. Worst is the canopy but that's Italeri's fault, not mine!
Decal placement was mostly guesswork as I built this model entirely without the kit instructions, they were missing between a first peek inside the box and starting to build the kit. (Am I having a some kind of trend here?)
Still, if you don't know exactly what a real Hun looks like, this model isn't too bad...

FAA Fairey Fulmar Mk I 1/72 Airfix
My Fulmar Mk I in Temperate Sea Scheme camouflage.
Paints used:
Revell matt 65 for Dark Slate Grey
Revell matt 78 for Extra Dark Sea Grey
Revell matt 49/silk 371 mixture for Sky
I'm afraid a) the weathering got out of hand b) this isn't the right camouflage for British Navy planes in Crete 1941 c) rear canopy seams still aren't finished yet.
But I like the kit and the model! Final note, the original kit exhausts were mysteriously lost during the assembly but fortunately the Revell Hurricane IIc kits have a spare set!

EAD Eurofighter Typhoon (prototype?) 1/144 Revell
This Revell 1/144 Eurofighter "mini-kit" was issued in 1989, I think it represents the prototype plane and perhaps not too accurately even at that. Therefore the colour hues are chosen in a loose "mock-up" fashion too.
The kit is good quality, but slightly less detailled than the same scale Tornado. Nice one build, though!

BBC CCCP Микоян и Гуревич МиГ-15 /VVS MiG-15 (бис/bis?) 1/72 Airfix
Airfix new tooling MiG-15, very nice and easy to build. Parts fit is excellent and the assembly guide is very informative, highly recommended. Built out-of-the-box as Soviet Air Force 1950's plane, these flew in Finland (although perhaps not exactly in this guise) for a short time at the Porkkala Soviet military base after the war. The actual Finnish Air Force MiG-15's were twin-seater UTI trainer versions.

VVS Яковлев Як-9 (Jakolev Jak-9D/Yakolev Yak-9D) 1/72 Airfix
An old Airfix kit re-issued, built out-of-the-box as a generic Yak-9D model in a generic VVS camouflage (i.e. there probably wasn't ever a real plane looking just like this). At first the kit looked really, really awful but as I plodded along it started to look a little better. It certainly isn't the most detailled or best looking Yak kit available, but it does capture the look of a Yak-9. The kit suggested camouflage of black-green-blue for the "white 86" is most likely right, but I wanted to try the two-tone grey instead.
